Welcome to the incredible story of Shaun’s Restomod 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Series 3. Indeed a one-of-a-kind XJ that was crafted to perfection by its passionate owner. This is a for a Restomod Jaguar XJ6 that will turn heads.

 Although the journey began with a 1987 Jaguar sovereign 5.3 v12 Series 3. A car that was originally a gold-colored with cream leather seats and brown carpets .  A classic car known for its luxurious style and comfortable ride. However, Shaun had a different vision for his beloved car. He decided to transform it into a modern-day performance machine.

Shaun started the restoration by upgrading the exterior of the car with X308 bumpers modified to fit the series 3. This gave the car a more aggressive and modern look. The car has adorned 3 paint colours in its lifetime. It  was originally gold, but he painted it black and then decided to give it a stunning finish with JLR Carpathian Grey paint. To complete the look, Shaun fitted the car with black 5-spoke Aspari wheels.

Next, Shaun decided to upgrade the engine of the car. He initially designed the Jaguar V12 engine to use BMW M5 throttle bodies but had a change of plan and instead fitted a BMW M60B40 engine with a manual gearbox. This powerful and reliable engine gave the car a magnificent soundtrack , making it a joy to drive.

To further enhance the car’s performance, Shaun upgraded the brakes to Aston Martin DB7 V12 vantage brakes. This allowed the car to stop on a dime even at high speeds. Shaun also converted the car to air suspension, which allowed him to adjust the ride height on the fly, giving the car an even more comfortable ride.

The interior of the car was completely overhauled as well. Shaun replaced the original cream-colored seats with stunning red leather bucket seats. Furthermore these perfectly complemented the Carpathian Grey exterior. He also added a touch of sophistication to the car’s interior with a Maserati charcoal-colored headliner, providing a luxurious feel to the entire car.
